I have been a long time fan of Johnny´s playin´since i first heard the Johnny winter album back in 1969-70. I saw the man first time in stockholm in 1974 about the tours that he did Captured live on it was the same lineup on the band and i was lost after that Concert. Since that i have seen him a lots of times and even played the same stage as a support once. I just want to point out to you that over here in Sweden So was the White Hot and Blue album out in 1976-77 and Raisin´Cain is his last album on CBS out in 1978-79 and after that he toured germany and play in rock palast.

I sware as silly sas this may sound that I am Johnny Winters
twin. I have actually been mistaken for him in public...but I didnt go along
with it.
I would love to see him in concert but I can never find when he comes to Canada.
Maybe one day I will, hopefully soon. I love his music and his pressence. Saw
him on a Canadina show, played great. If there was ever a way to meet the guy
I would be first in line.

saw jonny as the headline act this summer at a blues fest
in st.paulmn. it was hot in the afternoon, but a big storm came thru and the
temp dropped about 30 degrees.maybe that explains his condition.he played so
poorly thatout of the 100 or so faithfull left(it was still raining)there were
only 40 of us at the end.i heard everything from too much dope to too much thorazine
to the weather got to him ive seen him play maybe 20 times over the years and
this was the only poor outing.guess ill just have to wait for the next time

In 1969 I bought the record 'Second Winter'and I was really
impressed by it. For me it was the stimulus to start playing the guitar. Nowadays
I only play classical music, but I still feel thankful to the guy who performed
'I love Everybody'. I have never seen Johhny perform life and haven't been playing
his records for many years but after all these years I still have the same warm
feelings for him. I think it is great that I can show my respect for him via
Internet. Thank you for reading this.

Your Johnny Winter page has given me a lot of enjoyment.I
have been amazed by Johnny's talents since 1972 when a friend played "Be Careful
With A Fool" for me. I've played for 27 years now and have never, ever heard
anybody that can top his unbeatable one-two punch of vocals and guitar. After
many years of downplaying the obvious influence he has had on my playing, I
decided instead to "let it roll" and now perform nothing but Winter music, 69-present.I
use Firebird, for fingerstyle and slide (with MXR phase 90 when called for)(today
I ordered small stone as listed in gear section, can't wait to try it.) IMC
Lazer, and Erlewine Lazer (with Boss C-E2 chorus (add to gear list).Suffice
it to say " it's a gas." Response completely positive, people love the music, and
surprisingly, they love the Lazers.(I can't help but favor the 'bird.)Gotta go,
I'm typing with no keyboard (go ahead, laugh) bought webtv last Thursday, keyboard
REAL soon. Have videos to trade, only want 70's and newer. Thanks again.

He people speak much about he is the best guitar flooder .its real but i found people don t speak enought about the best blues voice . He do so many variation of style ,He can have a roak voice and clear when he want nobody sing better the blues because the felling of is voice is tranfert to is guitar and more .
Think about this next time you enjoy to listening Johnny

I saw Johnny a couple of weeks a go at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida.
He seemed very frail and moved very slowly. The show was good, considering his condition, but he was not very animated nor did he play anything fast on the guitar. I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of this last performances. I've probably seen him 10 times in the last 20 years. It was nice to see such a legnd one last time.
