In No Sense? Nonsense! was the third full-length album by Art of Noise. By the time of its recording, the group had been reduced to a duo, with engineer Gary Langan leaving the previous year—Langan's mix engineering duties were taken over by Bob Kraushaar and Ted Hayton for this album, but the music was produced entirely by Anne Dudley and J.J. Jeczalik. The album saw the group expanding their sound to include rock and orchestral instrumentation, in addition to their trademark sampling. |

The album "1967–1970 (widely known as "The Blue Album")" was compiled by Beatles manager Allen Klein, with his selections approved by the Beatles themselves. Songs performed by the Beatles as solo artists were also considered for inclusion, but like the cover songs on 1962–1966, limited space resulted in this idea having to be abandoned. |

"Mona Bone Jakon" is the third album released by singer-songwriter Cat Stevens. The album was released In July, 1970 on the Island Records label in the United Kingdom, and A&M record label in the United States and Canada. After a meteoric start to his career, surprising even his original producer at Deram Records with the hit singles "I Love My Dog", "Matthew and Son" and "I'm Gonna Get Me a Gun", Stevens' debut album, Matthew and Son began charting as well. However, after the pressure for a repeat album of the same calibre, Stevens, considered a young teen sensation, was overwhelmed by a new lifestyle, as well as the demands of writing, recording, performing, publicity appearances, and touring. In the fall of 1968, he collapsed, with the diagnosis of tuberculosis and a collapsed lung. For over a year, whilst recovering, Stevens virtually disappeared from the British pop scene. Mona Bone Jakon is notable not only for his return, but for the emergence of a very different artist. The album was certified Gold for sales/shipments of more than 500,000 copies in the United States. |

Soon after, Lyn Byrd joined on vocals and synthesiser, and the duo became a trio. When Jan departed in 1980, North's brother Oliver joined on guitar, completing the final lineup. The band was one of the first in the world to record solely with a drum machine, joining the ranks of the burgeoning electropop avant guarde along with bands such as Suicide, Kraftwerk and Soft Cell, although later they would tour and perform live with top session drummers such as Ben Margulies, Chuck Sabo and Zachary Alford.

The album Abacab continues Genesis sharp stylistic jump, begun by the band on its preceding album Duke, away from their progressive rock style of the 1970s and toward a radio-friendly pop music sound. As such, Abacab is still viewed today with mixed opinions from both fans and critics. But the band members say that the change in musical direction, beginning with 1980's Duke and continued with Abacab, was necessary for the band's survival in the changing musical climate they found themselves in. Despite the change, songs like the title track, "No Reply At All," "Keep It Dark" and "Man on the Corner" were all respectable hit singles. And while Abacab may have cost Genesis some fans, they earned many others, |

"Need You Tonight" is the fourth song on INXS's 1987 album Kick as well as the first single from the album released worldwide. It is the only INXS single to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also achieved their highest charting position in the United Kingdom, where the song reached number two on the UK Singles Chart, however this peak was only reached after a re-release of the single in November 1988. On its first run on the UK Charts in October 1987, it stalled at No. 58. While it would arguably become the band's signature song, it was one of the last songs recorded for the album. |

"Hey, HEY MATTHEW" is the single released by the British musician, Karel Fialka, in 1987. I The song has instrumentation with only a synthesizer and a drum machine being used. The song follows the lyrics of the father (Fialka) questioning his son, HEY MATTHEW, as to what he sees on TV (to which a young child's voice responds with such shows as Tom & Jerry and The A-Team) and what he wants to be when he grows up. The video follows the plot of the song, with the camera making it appear that you are looking in on the family through the television. This song was Fialka's biggest chart hit, peaking at #9 in the UK Singles Chart and spending eight weeks in the listings. |

Matt Bianco is a UK band that was formed in 1983. They are mainly known for their success in the mid 1980s and their jazz, Latin-flavoured music. Popular during the mid 1980s in continental Europe, Matt Bianco was part of the new jazz pop genre, that they shared with acts such as Working Week, Sade, Everything but the Girl, and The Style Council. The name suggests that Matt Bianco is a personal name, often referred to the main constant member and frontman, Mark Reilly, but Matt is in fact "a made up spy, a secret agent; we loved spy TV themes and film scores". |

| SIRE 92-3883 | Speaking in Tongues (rendered on the album cover as SP EAK IN GI N TO NGU ES) is the fifth studio album by the band Talking Heads, released in 1983. The album was a commercial breakthrough that produced the band's first (and only) American Top 10 hit, "Burning Down the House", which was accompanied by a promotional video. The following tour was documented in Jonathan Demme's Stop Making Sense, which generated a live album of the same name. (The concert film and live album's title comes from the repeated phrase "Stop making sense!" during the song Girlfriend is Better.) In addition, the album crossed over to the dance charts, peaking at number two for six weeks. David Byrne did the cover for the general release of the album. Artist Robert Rauschenberg won a Grammy Award for his work on the limited-edition LP version. This album featured a clear vinyl disc in clear plastic packaging along with three clear plastic discs printed with similar collages in three different colors. Original cassette copies of the album have special extended versions of "Making Flippy Floppy", "Girlfriend Is Better", "Slippery People", "I Get Wild/Wild Gravity" and "Moon Rocks". |
