Synopsis of the DVD Movie: Torque - Martin Henderson, Ice Cube, Jaime Pressly (2004)
Long-time bikie, Cary Ford (Martin Henderson) makes a big mistake the day he returns to his hometown to reunite with his girlfriend, Shane (Monet Mazur) and take care of unfinished business. But his first mistake was skipping town in the first place, taking with him motorcycles belonging to drug dealer, Henry (Matt Schulze) leader of bikie gang, The Hellions.
When Cary is unco-operative about getting the bikes back, Henry frames him for murder. But not just any murder. The victim is the young brother of Trey Wallace (Ice Cube), leader of The Reapers - another bike gang and the most feared in the country.
With McPherson (Adam Scott) an FBI agent hot on his trail, as well as Trey who is seeking revenge and Henry who wants his property back, Ford now has three angry men out for his blood. Helped by pals, Dalton (Jay Hernandez) and Val (Will Yun Lee), he sets out on a race across the desert to prove his innocence.

Reviews of the movie: Torque
A lot has changed in the biker-movie genre since Hell's Angels on Wheels, and Torque may be the new benchmark of feverish chopper action. Martin Henderson plays Cary, a speed king and relatively civilized outlaw with a knack for annoying everyone, including drug smugglers, the FBI, an ex-girlfriend, and, worst of all, biker gang leader Trey (Ice Cube), who thinks Cary killed his brother. On the run from everyone, Cary survives by playing all sides against one another. But the story is less important than the frantic, over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek action surrounding it. The Fast and the Furious producer Neal H. Moritz is responsible for this crazy, violent, yet appealingly sardonic cowboys-on-wheels piece
I saw Torque today and I liked it. I did not get to see it in January when it came out because my friends thought the preview made it look dumb. I saw it today and even if they said it looked dumb (which it is a little), it still is a lot of fun. The story is very easy to follow and the movie's chase scenes are pretty decent. The very last chase was a bit unrealistic, but if you are seeing the movie for fun (which it is, a fun movie) then you will forgive it. A lot of the dialogue and story is cheesy, but sometimes cheesy can be a lot of fun. I have a liking to this fairly new actor Martin Henderson and Monet (don't know her last name) is a hottie. I also liked the Jay Hernandez character. Ice Cube and the main guy could've been better just like in every other movie they've been in. A fun movie that shouldn't be taken seriously is Torque.
