Reviews of the movie: Tina Turner, One Last Time Live in Concert
This concert was filmed in 2000 during her "Twenty Four Seven World Tour" This tour stop was at London's Wembley Stadium...in which 80,000 screaming fans had a chance to witness the queen of rock 'one last time'. The show is packed with incredible lighting, explosions...fire...moiving stage pieces..and other special effects; she and the girls also change costumes a half a dozen times. However the real thrill is just watching and hearing Tina herself who brings the house down at the age of 60. She promised her audience "a journey of my carrer" and she did just that. She covered many of her hit songs from 1960-2000 including "fool in love" "i wanna take you higher" "whats love got to do with it" "simply the best" "proud mary" "private dancer" and "we dont need another hero" She also performed songs by otis redding "try a little tenderness", "sitting on the dock of the bay" and marvin gaye's "heard it through the grapevine" She delivers a melancholy gospel like version of the beatles "help"...as well as songs from her 2000 release "twenty four seven" including "when the heartache is over" she is backed by a 7 piece band, 3 dancers, and 2 backing vocalist. State of the art staging...in which the audience is treated to lots of suprises during the course of the show. including tina coming from under the stage...tina being being swung out over half the audience during "nutbush city limits" on a armed platform...in which she dances and runs sassily as she swings over the audience. other titles perfomed are "better be good to me" river deep mountain high" "acid queen" "lets stay together" and many more. dont miss this great dvd it is Tina's most explosive concert..and also the last of this kind..watching this dvd you will see for yourself why this tour was the #1 tour of 2000..and there will be no question why she is the QUEEN OF ROCK AND ROLL. *The dvd features an exclusive interview with Tina and backstage footage*
