Trivia: Sammy has said that he was originally going to title this album "One Way To Rock". It was a British fan who told him of the term that came to be the title. In Cockney rhyming slang, a "Hampton" is a term for a penis. One that is "Standing", of course, would be a reference to an erection. This led to the album cover art that shows a gentleman greeting a woman in various states of undress. |

"Chunga's Revenge" is the album by Frank Zappa, released on October 23, 1970. Zappa's first effort of the 1970s marks the first appearance of former Turtles members Flo & Eddie on a Zappa record, and signals the dawn of a controversial epoch in Zappa's history (this era is both hated and loved by Zappa fans in equal measure). Chunga's Revenge represents a shift from both the satirical political commentary of his 1960s work with The Mothers of Invention, and the jazz fusion of Hot Rats. Collector's Info: Note: this is a original 1972 German pressing which has both "Stereo" and the Gema-logo printed on the left hand side. This album "MOTHERS OF INVENTION - Freak Out! DLP FOC" Freak Out! is the first album by American band The Mothers of Invention, released June 27, 1966 on Verve Records. Often cited as one of rock music's first concept albums, the album is a satirical expression of frontman Frank Zappa's perception of American pop culture. The genuine first 1st US pressing included a blurb for a "Freak Out Hot Spots!" map. Inside the gatefold jacket the small ad was aimed at people coming to visit Los Angeles and it listed several famous restaurants and clubs including Canter's and The Whiskey A Go-Go. The phony map blurb was not included on later pressings but was removed and the space was left blank. Later re-issues of this album may have this map AD re-included. "Freak Out!" has also been re-issued in variations of coloured vinyl.
